Richard E. Hill, Jr., Member
Richard grew up in Williamsburg, VA and neighboring James City County, where he graduated from Lafayette High School. Richard's family is deeply rooted in the community and have run a number of small businesses. Currently, his mother runs Parlett's, where his brother Andrew is business manager.

After graduating from Washington and Lee University in 1993, Richard moved to Northern Virginia and worked in Washington, D.C. for three years. While in law school, Richard was an associate editor of the George Mason Law Review, an associate justice on the Moot Court Board and a contributor to the law school newspaper. He also worked as a research assistant for Professor Jeffrey S. Parker and Professor Timothy J. Muris, who served as Chairman of the Federal Trade Commission from 2001-2004. Upon graduating from law school, Richard served as law clerk to the Honorable Pamela Meade Sargent, U.S. Magistrate Judge, Western District of Virginia, in Abingdon, VA.

Richard serves as counsel to a number of small businesses, and has served the state legal counsel for the Virginia Jaycees, Inc. He advises on issues ranging from business structure to trade and intellectual property matters. His practice also includes real estate transactions and litigation.

Richard's principle focus is in the courtroom. He provides tough, aggressive representation in a wide-range of litigation matters, including criminal and traffic defense and personal injury. He practices in state and federal courts in Virginia.

He is a member of the Virginia State Bar, The Virginia Bar Association, the Williamsburg Bar Association and the Federalist Society
